Pay-what-you-can professional performance training for 16-19s.
Nonsuch Young Performer Training (NYPT) is a new, pay-what-you-can, pre-professional training programme for aspiring actors and performers aged 16-19 in Nottingham.
Designed to provide the best professional training to kick-start the development of those aiming for careers in performance, NYPT is the perfect preparation for Drama School or other performer training routes led by Nonsuch’s award-winning, internationally trained practitioners.
Through the programme, you’ll intensively develop your physical, vocal, ensemble and performance skills through masterclasses, weekly workshops and public performances. You’ll explore texts, devise new work, build your experience, prepare for auditions and boost your confidence for your future career.
Over the past 4 years, graduates of Nonsuch’s intensive summer residencies have gone onto study at Rose Bruford, East 15, Fourth Monkey, Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Frantic Assembly’s Ignition Programme.

Alongside NYPT will be will be the Nonsuch Young Company (NYC) for performers aged 12-15 running from 5-6.30pm on Tuesdays.
How to Join:
Entry into NYPT is by audition only and limited to 15 places at a time, although there will be a number of open access workshops and masterclasses throughout the year open to all.

Auditionees will be ask to:
- Take part in a group practical workshop
- Prepare and share one, one-minute monologue from any time period (does not need to be gender specific)
- Have a brief informal interview about who they are, and why this opportunity is important to them
Sessions will run:
Term Time on Tuesdays: 19:00-21:00 at Nonsuch Studios.
NYPT is run on a pay-what-you-can basis with a maximum donation of £10 per session.
